When we started this project, we never intended to use it solely as a file-sharing platform. However, judging by user activity, the resource is now being used almost exclusively for downloading ISTA and E-Sys files.
That was never our goal.
We’ve noticed that files from our platform have started appearing on paid third-party websites, where people are trying to profit from freely shared content. We cannot support or encourage this behavior.
As a result, we have decided to remove direct access to ISTA and E-Sys files from our website.
What’s next?
BMWHelper was originally designed as an information hub — a place where BMW owners can find useful knowledge, practical guides, and make their ownership experience easier.
We will continue moving in this direction and plan to:
- Publish detailed manuals with error code explanations.
- Share practical diagnostics and repair guides.
- If there is enough interest from the community, continue development of our Coding Simulator — a training tool for learning BMW coding.
However, we will no longer host or share files that are likely to be resold for profit.
